Rachel Lilly, LICSW

I believe therapy begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood.

My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are - without judgment, without having to have the right words, and without feeling like you need to hide the parts of yourself you’ve been taught to dislike. I genuinely want to know the whole person sitting in front of me: the parts that feel confident and capable, the parts that feel overwhelmed or stuck, and even the parts you may have labeled as “bad” or difficult. I believe there is a reason behind every part of us, and that understanding ourselves with compassion can be the beginning of meaningful change.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Boston College and have experience working with children, adults, older adults, and veterans across a variety of settings. These experiences have shaped my belief that no two people are the same—and that therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. Your story, your experiences, and the way you move through the world deserve to be understood on their own terms.

My approach is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in genuine curiosity. I incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and mindfulness-based practices to help you better understand yourself, develop effective coping skills, and move toward the life you want to live.

More than anything, I want my clients to feel accepted and safe enough to be their authentic selves. I believe people are not broken or defined by the hardest parts of their lives. Instead, therapy can be a place to slow down, get curious, make sense of what you’re carrying, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have gotten lost along the way.

I believe you don't have to become someone else to heal. Sometimes, healing is about learning to understand and accept yourself more fully. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can bring your whole self, explore what makes you who you are, and begin to feel more at home within yourself.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy cooking and baking, trying new crafting hobbies, and spending time with family and friends. I believe some of life’s most meaningful moments can be found in the little things, and I love helping clients notice and make space for those moments in their own lives.
